Flip the Switch: Entrepreneurship Edition: May 21, 2013
Brought to you by: Cornell, Rochester, and Syracuse Universities

When and where?
Location: ILR Conference Center, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
Times: 8:00am-6:30pm (breakfast, lunch and breakouts included). Workshop begins at 9:00am

Why attend?
Students are texting and using mobile devices in class, even when educators prohibit it.  As entrepreneurial educators, it is easy to see the market trend:  change or be changed.  At Flip the Switch, the focus is on engaging students through mobile technologies so educators are more effective with the teaching practices that they are already using.

What is covered?
The workshop is designed specifically for entrepreneurship educators as an intimate, hands-on event focused on creating a specific action plan for each participant’s entrepreneurship courses. It will cover:

  1. use of cellphones and other devices to intrigue and engage students
  2. how online platforms can facilitate the creation of feasibility studies, marketing strategies and business plans.
  3. demonstration of  Simulation software
  4. deployment of digital video inside and outside the classroom.
  5. use of mobile apps relating to: BMG canvases, remote controls for presentation, tools for creating tutorials, pdf editors, classroom utilities and productivity tools.
